COVID Policy

We are pleased to announce that the Innovation Zone can go ahead as a live event (8-11 November) at Cessnock Quay, Glasgow. Scottish Government guidelines on indoor events state that events with an attendance of under 2000 may be held without permission.

Obviously, the health and safety of all our customers is paramount and remains our number one priority. We have produced these guidelines to ensure that the Innovation Zone events are held in the safest possible conditions and that it is a success as an event.

We have put together a summary of what this means for the Innovation Zone events, and for you as an in-person attendee.

Please do get in touch with us if you have any questions or would like to discuss any aspect of what this means for the event at info@climateaction.org .

All attendees will be required to verify that they have either had two vaccinations at least two weeks prior to the event, or a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours of attending the event.  See 'Vaccination & Testing' section below.

VACCINATION & TESTING

All attendees will be required to follow our entry requirements and should be aware of the following:

CAPACITY

The event is restricted to a specific number of attendees per day. This is well within our normal capacity for the event.

MASK WEARING

Mask Wearing is currently mandatory in exhibition centres in Scotland. So all customers will be expected to wear a mask within the Innovation Zone during all events. These guidelines may change and we will update you should this happen.

CROWD DENSITY

We do not need to monitor the crowd density as we are within our capacity number. However, as safety remains paramount, we will still have the following in place:

  • All personnel on site are required to be register pre-event and will receive a physical badge upon arriving at the Innovation Zone. This must be checked at each entry / exit point.
  • Attendees are not permitted to leave by a fire exit and must scan out as they leave the exit.
  • Our registration system reports in real time, so we can see at any given time how many attendees are entering the Innovation Zone.
  • Aisles have been widened within the Innovation Zone.

GENERAL HYGIENE

An enhanced cleaning regime will remain in place:

  • Anti-bacterial units will be in use across the Innovation Zone in busy areas eg registration, entrances and exits, meeting rooms, catering, conference and seating areas.
  • Signage will be on display throughout as a reminder to wash your hands regularly and using the Government messaging of Hands, Face, Space, Fresh Air.
  • It is strongly recommended that all stands have anti-bacterial solutions available on their stands.

VENTILIATION

  • As part of our temporary venue build, the Innovation Zone will feature appropriate ventilation systems that are aligned to ensuring the health and safety of all our attendees.
  • The temporary venue has doors which can be opened as necessary to bring in additional fresh air.

CATERING

  • There will be no open food within the catering areas; it will all be boxed.
  • Food and drink sampling from the Innovation expo stands is permitted with approval from organiser.
  • Stand hospitality is permitted with approval from organiser.
  • Hospitality areas both inside and outside the hall have been increased and enhanced cleaning is in place.
